Race Schedule
Race check-in is from 6-8pm at FUPCDC on Friday 19 January 2024.
Cars not checked in during this time will not be allowed to race!!
If you cannot be present at this time, please have another Pack member bring your car for check-in.
On Saturday, races will be scheduled as follows:
AOL: 9:00-9:45
Webelos: 9:45-10:30
Bear: 10:30-11:30
Crew Break: 11:30-12:00
Wolf: 12:00-12:30
Tiger: 12:30-1:00
Lion: 1:00-1:30
Pack Finals: 1:30-2:00
Scouts need not be present to win, and scouts are NOT required to stay for the finals. Families may
return if they wish to see the finals.
Top Finishers must leave their car after their race and may not remove cars from the building until after the final race is completed. Once a car is checked in, there will be no modifications allowed on a car unless it is the result of a crash or incident on the track. This includes no adjustments between race heats.
Awards
Category Awards
Awards will be given out in various categories. These categories change year to year and will be
announced on race day. The winners will be decided by vote of everyone who attends the races.
Examples of past categories are:
- Fan Favorite (One per rank)
- Cubmaster’s Choice (Best Car selected by the Cubmaster)
- Pit Crews Choice (Best Car selected by those running the event)
Time Awards
Each car will be raced against members of the scout’s den/rank. The cars will be raced in a predetermined number of heats (typically 4-8 heats) set by the race officials. Each heat will rotate the lanes the cars race in. Every car will be raced once in each lane over the course of the heats. The best time will win for each rank. The top two for each rank will then compete in the Pack finals to determine the overall Pack winner.
